The band from Osnabrück around charismatic frontman Matthik offers a multi-dark-colored mix between slightly gothic-heavy, mid-tempo songs, truly monumental stunners and heart-wrenching ballads. Musically balanced and technologically on the highest level this debut promises a great future for the five musicians.

With numerous airplays at renowned radio stations like NSR2, NewcomerRadio Deutschland, RockLiveRadio and 40 additional airplays in 3 months, the young musicians from the North of Germany are being supported by the label „Danse Macabre“ and NewcomerRadio Deutschland since 2009. Guest appearances in e.g. the special radio broadcast for „Unheilig“ at NewcomerRadio were up on the newcomers‘ agenda. Also Jochen Rubel, author at Ffm-Rock, thoroughly enjoys the debut of AREA24: „The guys from Osnabrück succeed in spreading a good mood with their music, but the gothic-rock parts are well-dosed.“

The press and renowned musicportals like „DooLoad“, the magazin „Mindestverzehr“, the journalist-magazin „onAir-Magazin“, „Hochrhein-Zeitung“, „Metal Inside“, „GothicParadise“ and the magazin „Zillo“ covering the aspiring band and writing reviews about them are the logical consequece.
Since July 2010 the band possesses their professional mediamanagement and will be playing as support for „Megaherz“ in October, at the Herbststurm Festival in Oldenburg and as co-headliner of „Down Below“ as early as November.

"Welcome To The Undersphere" is AREA24's slogan. With their music they want to take their fans with them on a trip through the human spiritual life. The wayside is hemmed by grand feelings and small things which sometimes make life unbearably hard yet so livable. At concerts of the extravagant band of five their fans are powerfully and expressively being pulled into a genuine vortex of passion in which one let’s oneself drift only too willingly. Full of enthusiasm Matthik tells: „The album is supposed to describe those world in between of the consciousness in which both extremely beautiful but also extremely painful memories are conserved for the entire life.“ Exactly this abstract world of thought is topic of most of the songs of the album.

For Steffi Krause, a renowned author of the music magazin METAL INSIDE the musical direction of AREA24 is clear: „As a multi-dark-colored the band is being promoted - how little I like this word. Colorful isn’t true anyway because AREA24‘s songs are black. Pitch-black.“ At all events, it is necessary to cock one’s ears, because in the near future many more hard notes will be heard from AREA24 and not only in the „Undersphere“.
